Primetime Short Film Fund
First Flights has teamed up with with Primetime to create a one of a kind short film fund.
Primetime Presents will support one woman filmmaker to give the the support and platform to take their careers to the next level.
With a financial grant of £15k, help attaching A-list talent for the short film and a direct pitching opportunity to secure a £1M development deal with one of the UK’s largest Independent finance and production companies, Goldfinch, this is the future of filmmaking and our winner will be one to watch.
What We're Looking For
The percentage of women working behind the scenes has not increased in 20 years. It is time for this to change.
We are looking for women filmmakers who want to tell stories we have not heard before.
The fund is open to writers and directors from Primetime who have completed a minimum of 3 short films and are looking to make their first or second feature.
The £15,000 grant will act as a development fund to support short films from any genre as a proof of concept for a feature film. The winner will have the unique opportunity to pitch a feature film concept directly to Goldfinch to get it financed with a budget of up to £1M.
Can’t get a project financed without star power? We will also be partnering with A-list talent in front of the camera who will star in the winner’s film. Shoot for the stars and watch this space.

We will require the winner’s project to have at least 50% women in HOD positions behind the camera and onscreen.
